Why Cissa Fireheart Rocks

Cissa Fireheart from Heart of Fire and I go way back.  To the late 80's.  Junior high.

This?  Was us.

She's second from the left in the Santa hat and I'm next to her in the center of the photo.  Yes, I had more hair, it's in a totally fashionable french braid in the back of my head.  While I'm sure there must be several other photos of us somewhere this was the best I could do coming off my DayQuil/NyQuil induced 5 day coma.  (But more on that later.)
 
So that was us in 1991 according to the photo.  That's right, we were world famous singers once upon a time.
 
Though we may have lost touch over the years here and there, we've always managed to reconnect again.  She's the reason I really started my blog after going back and forth with pieces of blogging for years.  And if you followed us on twitter at all last week you could see that not much has changed since the late 80's.  Like for instance, neither of us can do math to this day.  It would have been hilarious if I had been able to figure out how to attach those tweets here, but I couldn't.
 
I know, you're still wondering just what makes her so freaking awesome.  It's not just because she's meeting me in NYC so we can both go to Getting Gorgeous together.  It's because she was out, spotted something she knew I cared desperately for, and shipped it right to me.
 
I'm talking true friendship right here ladies.
 
Saturday a package arrives on my doorstep and inside I find...

TWO BOXES OF O.B. TAMPONS!!! Because hello, o.b.gate is still happening people!

And she shipped them all the way from Virginia.

THANK YOU CISSA!!!  Best present I never thought I would ... Get ... As A Present.  But that was before o.b.gate when times were different, and you could buy o.b.'s at any store.  Any.
